Η μικρή λιτανική εικόνα από το μοναστήρι του Αγίου Παντελεήμονα της Τήλου, πιθανότατα έργο τοπικού εργαστηρίου, αξιολογείται σε συνδυασμό με άλλεςκαλλιτεχνικές ενδείξεις, τόσο ζωγραφικές όσο και αρχιτεκτονικές, υπό το πρίσμα της λατρείας του αγίου Παντελεήμονα. Η ανάπτυξη της λατρείας του στα τέλη του 15ου αιώνα πιθανολογείται ότι αποτέλεσε σημείο σύγκλισης μεταξύ Ελλήνων και Λατίνων στη Ρόδο
