Jungian dream analysis focuses on individual work between analyst and patient. In contrast, the dream matrix emphasizes the power of social dreaming. The authors from two different cultures and languages “accidentally” sat side-by-side, experiencing a powerful bilingual dream matrix that moved them to tears. This moment of synchronicity forged a collegial relationship and friendship enriched by a cross-cultural journey of the soul. In this paper, they attempt to offer insights into their journey forged over two continents. This journey to the core of our bleeding anima mundi—scarred by COVID, war, political unrest, and threats to democracy—is “told” via images, art, sandplay, and dreams. The authors emphasize the necessity of letting go of our overreliance on logos and too many words. They conclude with deep gratitude to the dream matrices in their lives that reach beyond borders to help heal the deep rifts in our modern world
