These interviews with two women and their adult daughter explore their family life in an urban California community. They discuss the love and bonding they have with each other and their relationship to their child’s father and their extended family. They tell of the psychologically challenging experience of being the object of negative projections and prejudice, and the impact it has had on their lives. The denial of full marriage rights for gay and lesbian partners is examined from a personal perspective.
