Introduction. The development of new purification methods and the creation of new materials as highly effective sorbents are essential for preserving freshwater sources from dyes and heavy metals. The unique magnetic and adsorption properties of Alk-MXene/ferrite-garnet composites are currently a priority area of research and will enable the creation of highly effective filter materials. Research objective. Synthesize and study the magnetic and adsorption properties of MXene/Pr3 Fe5 O12 and MXene/Er3 Fe5 O12 powders to develop highly efficient and environmentally friendly filter materials for maximum contaminant removal from aqueous solutions. Materials and methods. Nanoscale alk-MXene/Pr3 Fe5 O12 and alk-MXene/Er3 Fe5 O12 powders were obtained using hydrothermal technology. Using SPM the surface morphology and microstructural features of the samples were studied, and the influence of synthesis conditions on the composition, structure, and properties of the materials was investigated. Results were obtained for the magnetic and adsorption properties of the powders. Results. The results of the synthesis and characterization of new materials for industrial wastewater filtration and treatment based on 2D composites alk-MXene/Pr3 Fe5 O12 and alk-MXene/Er3 Fe5 O12 are presented. The use of scanning probe microscopy (SPM) and the study of adsorption and magnetic properties allowed us to establish patterns of improving adsorption properties by monitoring the microstructure and elemental composition of the materials under study. A detailed study of the microstructure allowed us to analyze the relationship between the magnetic parameters of the powders under study and their structural features. Obtaining materials with characteristics acceptable for industrial application is only possible through the targeted formation of the required micro/nanostructure of magnetic powders. Conclusion. This study examined the key factors influencing the synthesis of alk-MXene/Pr3 Fe5 O12 and alk-MXene/Er3 Fe5 O12 powders. New methods for producing two-dimensional MXene/rare-earth iron garnet composite systems are presented. Using scanning probe microscopy, the layer topology and particle structure were studied. It was found that alk-MXene increases the active surface area by introducing rare-earth iron garnet particles into the MXene interlayer space, resulting in enhanced adsorption properties. Cyclic adsorption measurements indicate the potential for practical application of these samples for the efficient removal of various dyes from aqueous solutions. The prospect of using the studied materials as filters for cleaning industrial wastewater is shown
