Dîvâne Bûrak Kıssası (The Story of Mad Bûrak) is a religious-mystical work in late Chagatay Turkic having structurally verse and prose parts. It is based on the topic in which the protagonist Dîvâne Bûrak, as a dedicated man of God and as a saint, beseeches God to destroy the hell so that all human beings are saved from the fear of it. The work provides unique data and approaches for the history of Turkish/Turkic language and literature in terms of both originality of its subject matter and linguistic features of spoken Chagatay of the late period. In this context this study aims to analyse textual and orthographic features of the work through providing the transcribed text in Latin script, an explanation of its grammatical properties and a short glossary
