The year 2025 marks the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea, a foundational event for Christians, as it helped to define Christian faith in a decision-making environment. To mark the anniversary, the World Council of Churches (WCC) is organizing a World Conference on Faith and Order, the sixth since the first such conference in Lausanne in 1927, which brought churches together for the first time in the 20th century to discuss the doctrinal differences that divided them and which led to the development of the Faith and Order movement.bs_bs_banner
