This article discusses the anonymous, late eighth century mass commentary Dominus vobiscum which was written to educate priests. It presents new findings about the text, its transmission throughout the Middle Ages and its manuscripts, and does so in order to emphasise the importance of anonymous texts for the study of Carolingian culture.
