Based on two dramatic works published by Guillaume Le Roy, this contribution aims to provide some insight into the way people worked in his workshop based in Lyon at the end of the fifteenth century. By seeking to identify the models that this publisher might have used for his edition of the Farce de Maistre Pathelin and the Mystère de la Destruction de Troie, and then comparing each edited text (its language, style, content and layout) with its probable model, this article arrives at conclusions, still provisional, pointing towards a rather conservative attitude in terms of the text, but freer, even innovative in terms of language and particularly of morphology and the relation between spoken and written forms
