The concept of shame has been extensively explored in cultural anthropology, psychology, biblical studies, and missiology. Yet there is relatively little in the way of Christian literature which discusses how Muslim women perceive and experience shame, or which offers suggestions of how Christians can engage with Muslim women on this topic. This article draws on discussions Christian women have had with Muslim women around the world to further our understanding of shame in Muslim contexts
