Objective: to evaluate the effectiveness of clinical simulation for training healthcare professionals in postpartum hemorrhage management. Method: this is a systematic review of randomized clinical trials, developed using the recommendations of the Joanna Briggs Institute. The research question was formulated using the PICOS strategy and its report described according to PRISMA. Searches were conducted in October 2024 in the Pubmed/Medline, Cochrane, Scopus, EMBASE, CINAHL, Web of Science and grey literature databases, without idiomatic and/or temporal restrictions. The Cochrane RoB 2 tool was used to assess the risk of bias and GRADE to analyze the evidence quality. The study protocol was registered in PROSPERO with the identifier CRD42020213911. Results: the composite sample consisted of 4 studied trials which analyzed theoretical training associated with clinical simulation practices, and better statistical results were identified from them for the variables, knowledge, and skills, provided that they are accompanied by mechanisms which favor continued practice and periodic updating. These results contribute to greater professional safety and can positively impact clinical outcomes. Conclusion: learning based on clinical simulation training is effective and promotes a paradigm shift in the obstetric model, since this technique provides differentiated and expanded training, obtaining a “strong” degree of recommendation
