This article includes a description of the results obtained from applying data analytics to the classification of companies with innovative potential in the department of Bolívar. There are various classifications that can be made in this regard, in this text a strategy will be considered to classify the aforementioned business ecosystem, taking as reference the application of analytics for the classification of 6703 companies in the department of Bolívar in terms of the average number of operating income and other related variables, in order to identify their potential within the framework of the business cluster of the department.The development of the research made it possible to identify 1,098 companies with potential innovation capabilities grouped into 42 clusters. The results contribute to the understanding of the characteristics of the business cluster for further education and training that enables an improvement of capacities in the sector
