In Colombia, the programs of social appropriation of science and technology face a great intercultural challenge: propitiate dialogues between the different epistemologies that create plural knowledge in the same national territory. The Centro de Pensamiento Pluralizar la Paz of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia aims to explore this diversity of knowledge around the concept of peace. To achieve this, it has chosen to investigate the plurality of knowledge, mainly through dialogues with cosmovisions, vocabularies and practices of some of the country’s indigenous communities. The research-creation project (Sanaduría), which culminated in a museographic exhibition, served as an input to reflect on the public policies of the Ministerio colombiano de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación that financed it. The research process, conceived as a pedagogical laboratory, made it possible to revisit different registers of knowledge that are usually conceived discontinuously. This article has three objectives: first, to identify and problematize the set of concepts that structure the Colombian scientific policies of the last decades. Second, it seeks to confront these policies with the concrete experience of implementing a program for the social appropriation of intercultural knowledge. Thirdly, it offers a series of recommendations for public policies related to intercultural research
