The objective of this article is to show how Central American refugees build migratory resilience during their transit in an adverse context fostered by the Mexican government ́s migratory control. Based on the qualitative digital ethnographic method, how refugees create resistance strategies by drawing on information and communication technologies (ICT) to access reliable information and human rights is analyzed. The research contributes to knowledge by conceptualizing technology as a protection mechanism for refugees. In this regard, the concept of technoprotection is proposed as a theoretical reference for future research exploring resilience during forced displacement. Considering the limitations of access to ICT during the journey, it is concluded that their use contributes to the restoration of human dignity by facilitating information channels and digital social interactions
