Even though in the second half of the 1620’s the relationship between the Hispanic Monarchy and France were damaged and the confrontation between them both threatened with the outbreak of war, in 1627 they put aside their differences and signed an agreement to help the French Monarchy against the English attack. This paper analyzes that controversial agreement, aiming to explain the reasons behind it, how it was developed and the consequences that it had between the two powers
