The arrival of robotics in surgery has modified the activity of operating block teams. It has led to a spatial reconfiguration of the block and has had an impact on the functioning of the work team, particularly when it comes to communication and work organization. The research in this area highlights the benefits of the surgery checklist and the development of non-technical skills. It does so by focusing on the training and evaluation related to both of these aspects, with the aim of improving performance. In a more global framework of expansive learning and using a pragmatic approach, we propose a different solution: the creation of a space of exchange that is mediated by artifacts, in order to transform practices within the operating block
