were required after class to help students apply their knowledge to real-life scenarios. | WHAT LESSONS WERE LEARNED?We used self-assessment, peer review and teacher feedback in every teaching session to increase student participation. We covered rescue knowledge and skills, as well as attitudes towards disasters such as risk prevention and contingency planning.A follow-up questionnaire, 6 months later, showed that 94% of students felt more inclined to consider safety in their future work or studies because of the brutality of the disaster they had experienced.Currently, we still lack an effective feedback mechanism for online learning. To tackle this, we are testing interactive software like Rain Classroom and Question Star and using a seating arrangement for more student engagement in larger groups. We'll also improve our virtual reality game based on student feedback in the highly anticipated future
