This research is based on the empirical condition of the ongoing preservation of traditional medicine made from plants and animals even though life is modern. The occurrence of environmental damage due to exploitation and expansion of settlements has caused the decline and extinction of several types of plants and animals that are used as medicine so that the ethnomedicine lexicon is also affected. Specifically, this research was conducted to explain and classify the lexicon of names of plants, animals, processes of manufacture or utilization, tools used, names of diseases; and factors that affect the maintenance of ethnomedicine practice. To achieve this goal, this research was conducted with an anthropolinguistics theory approach. This research was designed with a qualitative method. Data were collected through observation methods and proficient methods with fishing techniques and face-to-face techniques towards informants which were classified into two categories, namely (1) experts, actors, or practitioners of traditional medicine and (2) community members as patients or those undergoing traditional medicine. Based on the research procedure, it was revealed that in ethnomedicine practice in these two regions there were 57 plant name lexicons and 19 animal name lexicons; the lexicon of names of processes for the manufacture, processing or utilization of plants and animals for medicine, totaling 31 pieces; the lexicon of names of tools used in the process of making, processing, or utilizing plants and animals for medicine, totaling 22 pieces; (4) there were 48 lexicons of disease names; and (5) the sustainability of ethnomedicine is supported by economic, social and cultural factors.
