This article presents an iconographic and textual analysis of a monument likely hailing from the Upper Tembris valley of Phrygia that now resides in the North Carolina Museum of Art. The monument has received little scholarly attention, yet it has much to contribute to our understanding of priestly roles associated with the goddess Hekate. The text commemorates the dedication of a decorated grave monument to Tertia, whose husband is Dionysios. The monument’s iconography, which contains some rare elements, relates to Tertia, Dionysios, and Triform Hekate, who appears on the gravestone. The epitaph is an example of a doorstone monument common to the region of Phrygia that invokes the protection of the goddess Hekate for the deceased
