A scientific project was carried out by Romanian folklorists during 1968 and 1969 in collaboration with the Institute for the Scientific Film. Forty‐one films were produced, most of them published by the Encyclopaedia Cinematographica. Among these, eleven films were on material culture; the rest document intellectual culture
