With the tremendous development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the demand for AI applications in various domains is increasing accordingly. To address the evolving requirements and challenges presented by AI, it is imperative that the training of applied talents aligns with the contemporary landscape. Under the guidance of Taoism and the art education concept, this paper puts forward an innovative interdisciplinary undergraduate talent training strategy. This strategy encompasses several key elements to promote a well-rounded approach to AI education. The findings emphasize the establishment of an interdisciplinary learning environment, promoting collaboration across diverse fields, which is crucial in replicating real-world AI scenarios where multidisciplinary expertise is often required. Problem-based teaching methods are important to encourage students to implement the actual challenges in the world and help in developing problem-solving skills. The novelty of this study lies in examining the tailored educational journey for applied undergraduate students in the context of AI, bridging academia and industry needs in a rapidly evolving technological landscape
