Dans cet article, nous interrogeons les trajectoires du mourir (et d’aide médicale à mourir) de personnes migrantes et non migrantes, décédées à Montréal. En partant d’une recherche récente, nous verrons comment le cycle de vie intervient dans ce mourir. À partir de 119 entretiens menés auprès de proches d’une diversité d’origines ayant accompagné une personne en fin de vie, nous discutons de la « bonne mort » en nous appuyant sur l’analyse des trajectoires du mourir et des éléments qui façonnent la qualité perçue d’une « bonne mort » chez les migrants et non-migrants montréalais, jeunes et moins jeunes. Nous verrons que la valeur différentielle accordée aux groupes d’âge aura une incidence sur les trajectoires du mourir (Strauss, 1992) et, au bout du compte, sur la perception de ce qu’est une bonne ou une mauvaise mort
