Early Bronze Age Western Anatolia is characterized with the appearance of first cities and ruling class based on the archaeological evidence such as city walls, citadels and metal prestige objects. However, the precious metal objects like gold and silver have been rarely found in the Western Anatolian settlements. In this paper, we will enlighten the discovery at Bayraklı Mound (Old Smyrna) in 2019 where hoard of silver jewelry has been found in a ceramic pot in the Early Bronze Age layer.
