autonomous bacteriology studies in the Medical School and worked as a bacteriology lecturer for many years. He also chaired the health committee during the cholera epidemic which prevailed in the Aleppo Province, the Sanjak of Zor and Iraq between the years 1902-1904. He collected his findings during this assignment into a book titled "Suriye Ktasyla Zor Sanca ve Htta- Irakiye'de Kolera stilat, 1318-1320" (Cholera Epidemic in Syrian Region, the Sanjak of Zor and Iraq, 1318-132). This work, which is one of the significant resources of our study, contains the damage of cholera in Iraq, its spreading routes and measures required to be taken against cholera. This work, written 115 years ago, also shows past examples of some mistakes nowadays. The article's findings guide the protection of Public Health for the administrators of the period.
