The discriminative riots in the Balkans in the early 20th century and conquer of the Ottoman Empire's lands in North Africa by England and France caused anxiety and disappointment in the Ottoman society. In order to eliminate this situation, the army and the navy had to be strengthened as soon as possible. However, under the given circumstances, the economic problems of the state, it has begun to be discussed in the public that this idea can be possible with a total mobilization. These discussions will have speed up the process of establishment of the Ottoman Naval Society in Istanbul. Established by volunteer patriots who came together to protect the homeland, the community started to work on strengthening the Ottoman Navy. The Association had seriously worked on organizing activities at home and abroad and has announced its name to wide audiences in a short time. In valuables and cash aids, which are among the main sources of income of the society, were collected within the context of the Usul-i Cibyet Constitution. Having the support of wide audiences, Cemiyet played an active role in the purchase of many battleships in a short time. Among the social and cultural activities that the society organized to obtain donations are theaters, dramas, concerts, sports, books, magazines and publications. The fact that a large part of the society provides financial and moral support to these cultural events can be considered as the sincere effort of the people to save the Empire. The Society, which also made great contributions to Turkish sports, laid the foundations of an association called "Maritime Dormitory" in order to encourage young people to maritime and sea sports. In this study, the socialcultural studies of the Ottoman Naval Society and the activities of the Maritime Dormitory were evaluated within context of the TITE Archive documents
