The family is a social institution.Within the family, parents and children have certain mutual responsibilities.Parents have the responsibility to take care of their children, to look after them in times of need, and children have the responsibility to help their parents in their work, to be a source of social support and love.Parents are responsible for the child's upbringing, education, socialization and career. While in the traditional period this responsibility was borne by all family members, as the nuclear family has become more widespread, the care of the child has mostly been undertaken by the parents alone. With the increase in the number of institutions (day care centers, kindergartens, etc.) in the process, the childcare duties of parents have been shared with these institutions. While institutions and parents were responsible for the care of the child, with the spread of digitalization, digital caregivers have also taken over the care of the child.Digital caregivers can be defined as parents using digital devices and social media platforms to keep their children occupied, well-behaved and entertained. It can be stated that parents use digital caregivers so that they can rest, do housework, have time for themselves, etc.The aim of this study is to express the reasons why parents use digital caregivers in childcare and the impact of digital caregivers on children.Literature review method was used in the study. In the study, it was concluded that parents use digital caregivers to relieve work fatigue, to keep children well-behaved, to do housework and to have time for themselves. It is also seen that digital caregivers cause aggressive behaviors in children and cause consequences such as the destruction of their imagination
