This study provides new empirical evidence on the determinants of solar energy tube-wells adoption among rice farmers in Pakistan, where renewable energy integration remains understudied despite its critical importance for sustainable agriculture. Using multi-stage sampled data from 576 farmers in Sindh Province, we employed a Probit regression model with marginal effects to analyze the determinants of solar energy tube-wells adoption among rice farmers. The results revealed that education, gender, innovativeness, internet use, farm diversification, credit accessibility, and research regions (Jacobabad and Thatta) factors significantly and positively influence the adoption of solar energy tube-wells technology. With an average adoption rate of 51.3 percent, the findings highlight substantial untapped potential for scaling this technology. We propose three policy recommendations: tax incentives for renewable energy equipment, improved financial access for farmers, and enhanced extension services through education programs and media campaigns. These findings offer valuable insights for policymakers seeking to promote solar irrigation technologies in Pakistan and similar agricultural economies facing energy and water scarcity challenges
