Generation Z, as digital natives, faces increasing stress from digital overstimulation. This study investigates how nature-based temple environments foster psychological restoration and subjective well-being (SWB), influencing recommendation intentions. By integrating Attention Restoration Theory (ART) with a SWB framework, the study examines the pathway from perceived environmental restorativeness (PER) to restorative experiences (RE), SWB, and recommendation intention (RI). Based on structural equation modelling applied to a sample of 321 Generation Z visitors to Jintai Temple, it was found that PER significantly enhances both RE and SWB, which in turn positively influence RI. Furthermore, RE and SWB were shown to mediate the relationship between PER and RI. These findings highlight the value of nature-based rest in restoring psychological stability and improving life satisfaction among digitally overstimulated Generation Z
