The discourse of Nikkei women has been excluded from traditional feminist narratives in the Brazilian context. The absence of Nikkei women in feminist debates reinforces the silencing of a marginalized population within the wider societal context, which contributes to the silencing of Nikkei women’s voices. Recent online publications in the form of blogs, Facebook posts, and online groups demonstrate resistance as well as enable the formation of new spaces of insertion into current feminist discourse
