This paper analyzes the representations of new masculinities and dissident identities in poetic texts written in Spanish in the 20th and 21st centuries, from Luis Cernuda to Ángelo Néstore, including Porfirio Barba-Jacob, Federico García Lorca, Leopoldo M.a Panero and Ana Rossetti as representative authors of what has come to be considered queer literature. In this current, issues about the construction of the subject, corporeality, sex, categories and cultural institutions of the patriarchal and binary system are recognized and problematized. To this end, this study employs the methodological synergy of queer studies with literary criticism in order to expose and evaluate the literary manifestations of abject bodies in the Hispanic context
