A set of chinese boxes in Ostia. Metalepsis and autofiction in Sergio Blanco Abstract The essay analyzes the third of Sergio Blanco’s (Montevideo, 1971) autofictions, Ostia (2015). This work is studied from the narratological theory, defining the diegesis of the piece and the other stories present in the text. The general objective of the presentation is to analyze how metalepsis becomes autofiction, causing an aesthetic effect on the spectator. For this, it is necessary to describe the presence of a rhetoric of memory, which is expressed through prosthetic memory, and determine how the irony of character creates a lying pact with the public
