A modelagem preditiva arqueológica é um método importante para pesquisas preventivas e acadêmicas, pois tem como principal objetivo indicar áreas potenciais para presença de vestígios arqueológicos. Este artigo apresenta a aplicação da modelagem preditiva indutiva através da análise de regressão logística para identificar as variáveis ambientais relevantes para a presença dos acampamentos Xetá. Os resultados da modelagem preditiva são comparados com as informações etnográficas de organização do território Xetá, indicando-se problemas na aplicação desse método de forma acrítica.Abstract: Archaeological predictive modelling is an important method for cultural resource management (CRM) and academic research, as its main objective is to indicate potential areas for the presence of archaeological remains. This paper presents the application of inductive predictive modeling through logistic regression analysis to identify the relevant environmental variables for the presence of Xetá camps. The results of the predictive modeling are compared with the ethnographic information of Xetá territory organization, indicating problems in the application of this method in an uncritical way
