The article discusses some issues of the chronology of the Stone Age monuments of East Kazakhstan, based on previously known Paleolithic and Neolithic sites, and discovered for the first time in recent years together with archaeologists of the Institute of archaeology and ethnography SB RAS. A brief description of the stone industry of the main monuments of the Paleolithic era of East Kazakhstan is presented, the territory of which has certain features during the initial development of the region by thefirst man. Here, there is a relatively large multi-relief area, which includes the pre-Altai and pre-Irtysh steppes in the north, the northern part of the Balkhash-Alakul depression in the south, the Zaisan basin and the ridges of the Southern Altai in the south-east, and the eastern part of the Kazakh smoll hills in the west. The first finds and studies of the stone industry of East Kazakhstan showed a close connection of cultural traditions with the Paleolithic of Siberia and Altai, which is confirmed by the correlation of the monuments themselves
