Leonardo Polo integrates elements of classical and contemporary thought. According to him, modern organisations provide a privileged context for analysing human behaviour, as they optimise the use of human time. This optimisation is achieved when organisations respect individual freedom, which is inherently proactive. As a result, organisations should prioritise fostering initiative and creativity, which are intrinsically collaborative processes.Leadership, therefore, is fundamentally defined as the capacity to cultivate environments in which all stakeholders can fulfil their potential while collectively striving towards ambitious, long-term objectives. Such an environment depends on the virtuous actions of leaders, who, guided by a forward-looking vision and clear and demanding goals, communicate effectively. To this end, leaders support the development of their subordinates through a process of guided mentorship, enabling them to become progressively more autonomous and actively engaged. The successful attainment of shared objectives generates a sense of fulfilment, which serves as a foundation for sustained growth and continuous development. This article seeks to establish connections between Polo’s philosophical insights and contemporary theories of leadership and organisational psychology. These findings could provide educators and researchers in business studies with a deeper theoretical foundation for their proposals, while also offering philosophy scholars an avenue to engage with advancements in the behavioural sciences
