This article addresses the issue of gender in Derrida, seeking to link it to post-gendertheory without, however, losing sight of the historical conditionalities that inform debates on gender, particularly in the field of feminism. I therefore propose, after a brief look at the deconstruction ofphallocentrism and considering the distinction between unconditionality and conditionality essentialin deconstruction, to show the path taken by Derrida, considering since his proposal for adeontologization of the feminine, to the reflection on the neutral gender and the Law of genders, untilthe abandonment of the category of gender in favor of the quasi-concept khôra. In a second moment, articulating the theoretical field of unconditionalities with the field of historical conditionalities, thatis, that of the archive and memory, I will focus on the problem of sexual difference
