The paper shows that digital sovereignty policy, formally being a “counter-movement” against the power of global corporations, in practice leads not to democratization but to the territorialization and consolidation of digital markets around national oligopolies (“national champions”). From the perspective of Ilyenkov’s philosophy, this gives rise to a new form of “infrastructural alienation”: data and social connections, as the contemporary “univer sal” are alienated in favor of a hybrid state-corporate subject, which returns them to the individual as instruments of managerial biopolitics and control. Thus, the logic of extractive capitalism is not overcome but reproduced in new institutional forms. The scientifi c novelty is in the application of E. V. Ilyenkov’s socio-philosophical concept, particularly his doctrine of the alienation of the universal, for a critical analysis of contemporary digitalization processes and the phenomenon of digital sovereignty, which reveals the depth of the transformation of social relations under platform capitalism. The analysis reveals the deadlock of both the global corporate model and the etatist model of digital sovereignty, both based on alienation. As an alternative, the article proposes a model of community sovereignty, based on the principles of digital commons, cooperative platforms, and federated proto cols. This model aims to overcome alienation through collective ownership and democratic governance of digital infrastructure and data, paving the way for a post-extractive economy and the restoration of social subjectivity
