A more comprehensive and intensive analysis of the distribution of space in the American Journal of Sociology than that published in November, 1930 (XXXVI, 461-66), indicates a decided recent trend toward a wider spread of sociological interests among the various subtopics designated. This is shown by a tendency toward an even distribution of space among the main categories; also by the fact that since 1925 in only three of the forty-eight categories have the curves touched zero
