One of the questions I would like to ask during this conference is this: how is it possible to move from theory to practice in terms of hospitality, knowing that hospitality raises a number of fundamental issues in terms of human rights that need to be conceptualized and discussed, but knowing also—and in fact, knowing above all—that hospitality is a story of human lives, of meeting and taking place, and this very often in contexts of distress.
