The relation between the intellectual ability of a person and the estimability of his character was measured in the case of 305 male members of European royal families, repeating and freeing from certain sources of error the work reported by Woods in 1906. For the persons as described in the biographies the correlation is .60. The removal of their errors of general inaccuracy and inadequacy would raise this. But the removal of "halo" errors would lower it. In our opinion the net result would be only a small change from .60
