This study examines the phenomenon of migration from the perspective of the security concept of the Paris School, which has an important place in the field of critical security studies in the discipline of international relations, and aims to analyze the security policies of the European Union towards migration. The Paris School offers a critical approach to security studies by arguing that security is a process of discursive construction rather than an objective threat. In this framework, migration becomes not only a demographic or economic issue, but also a phenomenon that is presented as a security threat by political actors through social perceptions.Especially through the concept of "securitization", states and institutions turn certain phenomena into security threats. It is based on the fact that the increasing irregular migration movements in Europe in recent years and the resulting rise of security policies have serious consequences for both the human rights of migrants and the fundamental normative values of the European Union. In this context, the conceptual framework of the Paris School provides a theoretical tool for understanding the processes through which migration becomes a political security issue. The study adopts a qualitative approach and analyzes the articles written on the subject using document analysis method. It has been observed that the European Union has increasingly framed migration as a security-based problem and put this discourse into practice through border control, exclusion policies and technological surveillance tools. These findings suggest that the Paris School's securitization theory provides an explanatory framework for the analysis of European Union migration policies
