This research aims to provide recommendations to Islamic comic collectors in Indonesia so that they can adequately preserve their comic collections, as has been done by a collector from Yogyakarta City named Gunawan. This recommendation is likely to preserve the archives of Islamic comic books in Indonesia so that researchers can study them in the future. The research method used is qualitative, with a case study approach and a data collection process through interviews and passive participant observation. The findings indicate that Gunawan has implemented a preservation process by strategically managing his finances from a young age, digitally archiving his documents, and independently dedicating his efforts to the task. Additionally, he conducts maintenance periodically, adjusting the frequency based on relevant real-world events that intersect with themes present in the comics. If preservation practices are effectively implemented, it is anticipated that future research on Islamic comics can place greater emphasis on analysing the messages within them
