An epistemological haziness has prevented a fruitful grasp of those junctures of actual thinking that are open to social-historical influences. The mooted problem of the logical consequences of sociology of knowledge has not been adequately instituted. One of the implications of the American pragmatism of Peirce, Dewey, and Mead for a sociology of knowledge is a fresch definition and solution of this issue. This article derives and elaborates this implication. Concrete studies, instances, and modus operandi of the methodological consequences of sociological studies of inquiry are cited and analyzed
