This article brings the reflections, writings and socio-spatial academic trajectories of Ella, Filomena, Maria and Sol: four black professors working in the geography teaching at Geography’s Department of brazilian public universities. To listen to their narratives, we chose the methodologies of life history and intersecionality. Were used the following research instruments: questionnaire, semi-structured interview and academic autobiographical memorial – written by the professors. The results show the importance of analyzing the different socio-spatial trajectories of black professors to understand what it means to be a black woman in a public university within the Geography course
