O turismo religioso e a educação das sensibilidades na construção de imaginários urbanos na cidade de Aparecida-SP

This article analyzes how religious tourism in Aparecida (SP) contributes to the formation of urban imaginaries and to the processes of education of sensibilities in urban space. Starting from the understanding of the city as a symbolic and lived space, the research discusses how faith practices produce meanings and socialities that impact individuals in their daily lives within the city. The adopted methodology is qualitative, exploratory, and interpretative, based on a literature review, document analysis, and field observation. The results indicate that Aparecida constitutes a territory of sensitive experiences, where the sacred structures the spatial configuration and the way of imagining the city. The study highlights the potential of religious tourism as an informal educational practice in the contemporary urban space
