This article proposes a discussion about disinformation, involving gear and methods that contribute to the spread of fake news in the online environment and other phenomena that arise in the wake of the Big Tech business model. It is considered that, with the advancement of Artificial Intelligence, such formats begin to exercise increasing dominance over experiences, narratives and human knowledge, control that can be considered a threat to freedom of expression and the right to information. Faced with this challenge, from a regulatory point of view, the review of standards that place more limits on digital and educational platforms is being evaluated, highlighting the need to expand digital, media and information literacy.
