The aim of this article is to analyze print editions of the Brazilian men's magazine Trip, in order to see how the publication appropriates certain historical perspectives on an image of Brazil in its pages, from 1986 to 2020. From the analysis, it is clear how the magazine invokes imaginary bodies of colonialism, intrinsically linked to national projects concerning race and gender, reinforcing Brazilian social hierarchies and neglect. It can be concluded that, even if unintentionally and sometimes contradictorily, Trip magazine reproduces Brazilian social structures, revealing how a niche, journalistic, and commercial magazine behaves editorially and constitutes representations of memory over time
