The article for the first time explores the specifics of the Yukagir fairy tale tradition, to which we generally refer the folklore of forest and tundra Yukagirs, Russified Yukagirs of the Lower Kolyma and Chuvans, on the basis of plots corresponding to type 315A “Cannibal Sister” according to the international index of fairy tales of Aarne-Thompson–Uther. The aim of the article is to identify common and particular features of Yukagir texts about the cannibal sister, their fundamental similarity with the plot type from the specified catalog. The tasks are set to analyze the structure of fairy-tale plots of local groups of Yukagirs, to consider the content features of the texts, if possible determining their nature. The research methods were descriptive, structural, comparative-comparative and comparative-typological. Structural and content analysis of Yukagir texts showed that 17 of the 27 selected elements of the stories about the cannibal sister coincide to one degree or another. All local plots converge with type 315A in such moments as: the hero hides from a monster at a height, the multiplicity of the object of shelter or its components, a wonderful helper (object). The Yukagir texts are dominated by the motives of the older cannibal sister and her younger sister, the marriage theme is obvious. The plot features are related to the use of a cutting board as a means for flight, a scabbard as a trap, etc
