The analysis of the collection of documents on the activities of the representative office of the Buryat-Mongolian ASSR in the Central Executive Committee of the RSFSR, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Republic of Buryatia, is carried out. The scrupulousness with which the authors – historians and archivists of Buryatia – approached the selection of materials, careful preparation for publication is noted. It is concluded that the information saturation of the reviewed publication makes it an important source on the history of the first decades of the formation and formation of the Republic of Buryatia, and the collection itself is of practical importance for making appropriate decisions by the authorities and management of modern Russia
