It is noted that the Ukrainian-Polish archaeological expedition in 2008–2010 investigated the multi-layered site Seredne 1, located on the western outskirts of the village of Seredne Kalush district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, in Srednyanska Gora Place on the hill of the left bank of the Syvka River (6th terrace of the Dnister River). Excavations with an area of 1287.5 m2 established the presence of cultural and chronological horizons of the Final Paleolithic, Eneolithic, Bronze Age and Early Iron Age. It was found that the stratigraphically lowest of them, in the form of a seasonal site of the Swiderian culture, is associated with the latest Pleistocene glaciation (Drias III) and is represented by 680 flint artifacts discovered at the contact of the modern soil and the pre-forest subsoil, with depositional marks 0.35–0.4 m from the day surface . As a result of the work carried out, a concentration with 257 finds on an area of about 1 m2 was recorded including a core, layers of mostly flakes, a few tools and a leaf-shaped arrowhead, which obviously belonged to a ground dwelling structure of light construction. The inventory of the site is made of two varieties of Roztochchia nodule flint of the Turonian Podillia, distributed about 50 km to the west of the nearest upper reaches of the Zahidnyi Bug, Glynyna and Zolota Lypa Rivers of Khodoriv and Halych Opillya. It is estimated that in the flint complex, taking into account the artifacts from the concentration, there are different intensities of blue-white patina: 14 cores of prismatic, endface and endface-prismatic forms with one and mostly two oblique striking platforms, 240 flakes and 104 blades, respectively 17 and 16 types, 182 fragments of blades, 50 tools (25 blades and 7 flakes with retouch, 8 burins, 6 end-scrapers, 3 notches, a hammer), 6 leaf-shaped arrowheads, as well as 8 flakes with correction of the sides of detached blanks and 76 typologically indeterminate debris. It was established that the quantitative ratio of blade blanks to flakes in the group of products with secondary processing is 81% and 19%, and the blade index of the complex is 46%. It has been found that the Swiderian site Seredne 1 is the first in the Northern Sub-Carpathian region, excavated on a large area, with clearly stratified mobile material, and its flint knapping technology is close to that of other sites of this culture in the Volhynian Forest Steppe
