Palabras clave: Ciencia ficción, Futuro, Tecnología, Imaginarios visuales, Identidad, Memoria, Prospectiva ABSTRACTThrough a comparative and critical analysis of visual imaginaries in science fiction cinema, this study examines how foresight projections reflect present-day tensions and concerns. Science fiction operates as a prospective laboratory, where mechanized worlds, surveilled societies, biotechnology, and disaster scenarios explore the interplay between technology, identity, memory, and social organization. These projections raise ethical and social dilemmas, challenge human autonomy and intimacy, and reveal vulnerability to the systems humanity creates. Thus, the genre not only anticipates plausible futures but also provides a critical space to reflect on the risks, transformations, and responsibilities shaping historical, social, and cultural development.
