The article seeks to make a first approximation to the joint production of Pilar Albajar and Antonio Altarriba. The text is developed through the analysis of their creative process and the approach to their first series (which set the pattern to follow in the remaining ones): Sexo y Pecados (both from 1987). Of Aragonese origin, both began to collaborate during their life together in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The duo is characterized by a joint creative work in which Altarriba takes care of the script and Albajar of its graphic representation through photomontage. They play with resources such as the juxtaposition of elements that are very far from each other conceptually or thematically. They are part of the artists who renewed photomontage both in the theoretical prism and in their artistic practice from the transition to democracy. Among them are Joan Fontcuberta or Antonio Gálvez. The results are crossed in many cases by a deep surrealist influence in the context of postmodernity
